Tortuga Island

Tortuga Island is rated on f the top 5 most beautiful beaches in Latin America (E Entertainment), but there are more reasons tan that to visit this tropical paradise. This full day tour is a wonderful adventure for the entire family. Our qualified guides will pick you up at your home or you may meet them in the quaint bohemian town of Montezuma. You will begin with a 45 minute boat ride out to the islands @ 10 am. Upon arrival to the scenic wonder, you will anchor slightly offshore in the protected leeward side of the island where you may enjoy swimming snorkeling or scuba diving in the pristine clear aqua marine waters. These volcanic rock reefs are home to the best snorkeling in Costa Rica's Central Pacific coast. A wide variety and long list of tropical reef fish such as, Cortez Angelfish (Pomacanthus zonipectus), King Angefish (Holacanthus passer), Spotted Porcupine Fish (Diodon hystrix), Moorish Idol (Zanclus cornutus),  Bicolor Parrotfish (Scarus rubroviolaceus), Cortez rainbow Wrasse (Thalassoma lucasanum), various Triggerfish, Jacks, Rays, Dolphins and even Sea Turtles may be seen in this scenic marine paradise. After your snorkeling adventure you may choose to have a cold drink or stroll the beautiful whites and beach while a fresh fish, chicken or vegetarian lunch with grilled vegetables and fresh fruits is being prepared fro your enjoyment. You will return to Montezuma by 4pm in time for quick a waterfalls hike, a cold beer at sunset, a night out at one of the many local restaurants or in time to make it home to Casas Pura Vida before night fall. Scuba tanks are extra and require a Dive license. The cost runs @ $ 110- for 1 tank & $ 140- for 2 tanks.
